I just returned from the 2016 Library of Congress (LOC) Book Festival in the nation's capital - my first. Steven King was the main attraction, but Congressman John Lewis and Harlan Coben were no slouches.  It was great, especially the children's venues where my daughter thoroughly enjoyed herself.

It got me to thinking about a book festival for indie authors.

I would like to organize an indie author book festival to help expand the platform available to us (other than the internet) and to connect us to our readers.  I'm looking for people of like mind to help in this endeavor.  I know there are book festivals throughout the country - I've been to many of them.  I always left them feeling something more could have been done to better elevate the indie author.
